THE POSITION

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a professional, well presented individual to join Wilson Security to work with a high profile Client in the position of Team Leader.

In this autonomous role you will lead a small team and manage day-to-day operational activities on site. Operating in a Monitoring Centre, you will ensure that the team provides the highest quality frontline customer service and support.

You will provide regular security briefings, toolbox talks, appraisals and counselling sessions as required. You will be the first point of contact for all customer complaints and queries and you will ensure proactive measures are taken at all times.

The position is located in Chatswood. You will be required to work a Monday to Sunday rotating roster with a combination of Day and Night shifts, and provide after-hours support / coverage as required.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • A current NSW Security Licence and First Aid Certificate.
  • Strong and practiced leadership, negotiation, customer service and conflict resolution skills
  • Advanced competency in the use of all WSCC systems, or ability to quickly learn ( 3-6 month learning journey)
  • Strong MS Office skills or ability to quickly increase skill levels.
  • Strong time management, organisational and literacy skills (written and oral).
  • The ability to train, coach and mentor team members towards best practice.
  • Strong experience in trouble shooting and problem solving.
  • The ability to conduct difficult conversations with staff to address inappropriate behaviours/actions in private, respectful and documented conversations.
  • Strong knowledge and background related to SOP’s, particularly in regards to their purpose, design and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in leading teams within a control room environment.
  • Strong overall technical/computer/alarm monitoring knowledge and experience.
  • The ability to engage and motivate team members to perform at their best.
  • Full unlimited right to work in Australia.
