Job Description:

We have a unique and exciting opportunity to join our team on a permanent part-time basis and work at one of Australia's fastest growing universities, the University of the Sunshine Coast (USC).

USC is seeking SafeUSC Community Officers for USC Sunshine Coast, located at Sippy Downs, and USC Moreton Bay, opening at Petrie in 2020.

Recruitment activity will commence in September and October 2019, followed by training for the successful candidates for both Campuses at the Sippy Downs location. Work at the new Petrie campus will follow for those candidates selected for Petrie after successful training prior to year-end.

To be considered for this opportunity you must be able to demonstrate that you have the skills, experience & appropriate certification within the following areas:

  • Current QLD Security License and valid First Aid Certificate;
  • Proven previous Security Officer or Customer Service experience is essential;
  • Availability to work 12-hour shifts and conduct foot patrols;
  • High level interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal);
  • Intermediate computing and report writing skills;
  • Professional personal presentation;
  • Proven experience in conflict resolution;
  • Full, unlimited rights-to-work in Australia;
